Linta Lappa was born in Cairo and moved to Greece with her family at the age of seven. She finished school in Athens and in 1969 she became accepted at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence. Florence enchanted Linta but not the Accademia. The youthful frustration came from the conservative nature of the School led her two years later to the decision to take the way back home.
