Gallery Ersi was established in 1985. It’s course in the art space is, specifying on presenting the work of Greek and foreign artists and proposing thematic group exhibitions which aim on the contact and dialogue with the public.
Gallery Ersi is involved also on representing the new trends of contemporary art in Greece, giving a step forward to young artists of the visual art scene. Also participating in the network of the important Athenian Art spaces of the center, aims to highlight certain contemporary views, in a period of human crisis, where civilization must be suggested us a prototype for the function of the city. The historical development of the gallery from the 80s until now has given credence to a dialogue between modern artists who belong to the second half of the 20th century with the so called contemporary artists’ active on the first half of the 21st century.
The Gallery space is located on the foothills of the Lycabettus hill, very close to the Dexamenie square .Is expanded into two floor spaces and on the second floor the visitor can find an updated library for a quick stop with a garden view.
